It is my great privilege to invite you to our District Conference for 2017. This year we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the reformation, as well as the many great things that God is doing across our district. I look forward to seeing you at one of our five locations for the event.
Brent has been serving Christ and His Church in the Alliance since 1984; 1 year pastoring at Southgate Alliance (Edmonton), 25 years pastoring RockPointe (Calgary) and since August 2011 ministering as the District Superintendent of the Western Canadian District of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Calgary, Alberta.
What is District Conference? from Western Canadian District on Vimeo.
District Conference is a time for pastors, church leaders, and lay people to:
Every two years our district invites all of our pastors, church leaders, and lay people to participate in this provincial two day event that takes place in five different locations across Alberta.
Old, young, new to the Alliance, long time Alliance church attendees, Alliance church workers, board of elders, finance, those passionate about seeing God’s mission done here on earth – all are welcome to attend!
Hear what God is doing in our Alliance Churches across the province and be inspired to move in God’s calling!
Banquet night will be an inspiring night of testimonies from International Workers, a message from our District Superintendent Brent Trask, worship, and inspiration.
Business Sessions will be focused on how we can grow, learn and serve with vision going forward in our churches.
You can choose to attend one or both sessions. But since we don't offer special pricing for just one session its a much better value to attend both.
We encourage all our licensed workers to go to both, and our regular attendees are also welcome at both sessions. Please note however that voting privileges are required to participate in the business sessions if you are a regular attender. You can however come as a silent participant.
All licensed workers are afforded the privilege of voting on matters/elections
All regular attendees that desire to vote need to send in the LAY LEADER APPROVAL FORM to the office. (Each C&MA Church may be represented at District Conference by two voting lay delegates appointed by the Board of Elders of such C&MA Church. If the active membership of such church is 150 or more, another lay delegate may be appointed for each additional 100 members, or fraction thereof)
